Saturday we had all our Discipulado youth gathered for a day with leadership workshop, a seminar about being in a youth ministry and lot of social fun and games.
We had Cristian Melendez from "Cerro de Luz" to come and talk about how the church not is a social club, but a place for rescue, a hospital for spiritual and physical help. A ministry is a living community and that’s what we need to keep in mind when we do ministry for others and when we as a youth ministry meet and praise God.
This was also a day where the youth had time to go to their different ministries to hear more about serving in their ministries, to be together in fellowship and to be with there friends in an awesome environment.
We have five different ministries: OANSA (AWANA), Sunday school, worship band, drama and a ministry where we gather all our ideas for future events and activities.
All youth have the opportunity to be in a ministry and be apart of a group, which in one or the other way reach out for the kids and youth at Emmanuel and the community outside of Emmanuel.
Because some of the youth are serving in more then one ministry we had to divide the afternoon in to different sessions, so while some groups were talking others where playing and having fun with different activities.
It was such a great day with the youth, with lots of laughter, fun and cake!
