Hello guys.
In this previous week Thomas and Cathrine (The boss) have been on a trip with a mixed transition group to look at different jobs and hear testimonies from their life in Honduras and to see that you can be what you want if you fight for it, despite you come from bad conditions. It’s all about that you fight for it.
There was one place that putted a stamp in me. It was a place called Rotulus Angel. He talked about how hard he had fought for his work and how he was persecuted by a man who wanted to kill him. He fled to USA but was caught by the police because he didn’t have residence permit, and he was putted in jail. At that place he learned how to paint and design different stuff. He said: “The negative stuff that happens in your life is necessarily not only negative, because God will take the negative stuff and change it to something good. Just like God did to Joseph in the Old Testament.” And God really did that in his life. When Angel came back to Honduras he started a sign company. But there were still some problems and he had to flee one more time, and came in prison again in the states. In the prison he was met by view of one the signs he had made and sold. When he came back to Honduras the whole Latin America requested Angel to make them some signs. As I mentioned before, he now has his own company and 12 employees in the company. Beside that he teaches at a school. He has reached a lot in his life and made an impression in the youth.
Beside the visit at Rotulus Angel we have visited different workplaces in respectively cities Tegucigalpa, Siguatepeque and Comayagua. In these cities we visited a supermarket, a cobbler, a flower plantation, a candy maker, other orphanages, a restaurant, a sugar maker and a person who makes stuff out of leather.
Everything we’ve seen has given the youth a positive impression.
