The first transition group has been through many different work processes, has been out seeing what job opportunities there are outside of Emmanuel, visiting a factory and different types of productions, learn about how to write a resume, how to dress and present yourself at a job interview, self-respect, self-esteem, team building and much more. Some saw the ocean and ate fish on the beach for the first time while others experienced parts of Honduras that they didn’t know existed.
They were all very positive about visiting people that had built up their own small businesses from scratch and now are earning good money.
Every transition program are made specially for the youth that are in the program cause we have so many youth with different levels of education and motivation. But making it special for the groups also mean that we can get closer to the youth and help them on their way and follow them close through this process.
We thank God for giving us this opportunity to help the youth to hopefully reach out for a better and meaningful live the day they choice to leave.
